Cool Shit We've Done

death salt

The wait is over our debut album "death SALT" is now out!

Thanks so much everyone for your amazing words and messages about our album <3

Coming down from the rush of our release gig, we'd like to say a thank you's to the people who made this all happen.

Whats been happening?

Our performance with RDU for their "Live to Air" series has been uploaded!

This features some of our favourite tracks.

I've done a little write up below if you wanna read while you watch...

Track 1: Erase You

This song was a bit of a journey. We  started with a catchy as hell chorus and then tried to build from there. The three of us co-wrote the lyrics a wee while ago and then had a short nightmare trying to figure out how to put it all together. After a bit of time (and not overthinking it) we arrived with something we were all extremely happy with.

Track 2: bodies

YES! Our third single was played as a live performance! The song speaks for itself really. We started this one off as a big ol' hip-hop jam and then it just escalated becoming more creative.

Aaron took the lead on this one with one hell of a rippin' bass riff. Everything else just sort of... fell into place.

Track 3: Beauty Therapy

Named after... Well a sign outside Ara while we were studying, this song is our favourite set ender for live performances. The chaotic and cathartic nature of this track feels absolutely insane. Written entirely by feel, this song comes straight from the blood which coarses through our veins. Hopefully you can feel it too.

It really does feel like therapy... And that's kind of beautiful.

Boneface Brewing Collaboration

While traversing Aotearoa on their Red Light Tour, the Saint's boys stopped in to see their mates at Boneface Brewing Co. Here they had some great yarns with the owners and threw together a Cold Fermented IPA under the Boneface brand.  These are still available for purchase, best enjoyed cold on a hot sunny day.

"Brewed with the awesome Christchurch band, Saint Peter’s Thursday, this IPA is cold fermented with lager yeast. This gives it a clean, fresh flavour and lets the hops do some singing!"

Red Light Tour

Coming off the back of SEVERAL Mandatory Lockdowns due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the band decided to say fuck it and go on tour with MANY restrictions in place.

In order to comply with health guidelines, shows would be SEATED and in most cases, not exceed 50 patrons. Despite this, we were sick of not performing so just went and did it anyway lol.

6 shows across 6 venues, this was a LOT of driving. We decided not to fly any of it and would make it work however we could. Every single show is an incredible memory. We met a plethora of incredible musicians, venue managers and all round good people along the way.

<< Thank you Maya Templar for the sick poster
