in the beginning...
Formed in 2014, Saint Peter’s Thursday has an almost cult following throughout the city. Meeting through the Music Arts program at ARA, Anand Yoganathan (Vocals/Guitar), Aaron Wildermoth (Vocals/Bass) and Sam Lane (Drums & Percussion) create a unique sound through their similar tastes in grunge, metal, rock and pop music. While studying in a tertiary environment, the trio found ways to express themselves through their music. Oftentimes the band finds themselves with the lights out in the rehearsal room, exploring new sonic lands and extracting new ideas from these journeys.

Saint Peter’s Thursday have recorded eight songs locally at Orange & Moonbase studios. These eight songs will make up the band's debut album, ‘death SALT’
They have since released their first single ‘Fisherman,’The single was accompanied by a music video which was released on the sixth of August 2021. The single was met with high praise, achieving number 1 on the RDU top 10 and number 3 on the SRN top 10.
Their second single ‘Caroline’ followed on in early 2022 charting at #7 of RDU Te Ahi’s top ten, reaching excellent streaming numbers on both YouTube and Spotify.
The third single from this album "Reptiles" recently hit #1 on RDU's Te Ahi top 10.
movements throughout AOTEAROA...
In the midst of 2022, the trio embarked on an intimate tour scouring both the North and South Islands of Aotearoa. Backed by the NZ Music Commission, Saint Peter's Thursday swept the nation playing shows in Dunedin, Invercargill, Takaka, Wellington, Upper Hutt, and their Hometown of Christchurch. The tour, aptly named "Red Light" as a nod to the ongoing lockdowns New Zealand was facing, saw the band team up with some of the best bands that Aotearoa's underground scene has to offer: Seamouse, Voodoo Bloo, Black Sale House, this dog, Layaround, Slur and Adult Friends.

the future is now...
Saint Peter's Thursday are dedicated to reaching above and beyond with their music. They're mighty Album Release show boasted a sold out show, to which the trio recieved increcdble praise from fans.
In addition to the album, the trio have their next single from an upcoming EP lined up.
The trio is pushing to play larger shows to more patrons. They're exited to pursue festival performances and international tours.
